Auburn Moms & Tots is a playgroup in the Auburn/Opelika area that was started in June 2007 when
one stay-at-home mom was looking for activities for her and her tot! The purpose of this group is to
provide stay-at-home moms and part-time-working moms with fun activities to entertain and socialize their tots... as well as have some adult interaction for themselves.
We welcome tots of all ages!
If you are a stay at home mom or part-time working mom, we invite you to come visit us!
Auburn Moms & Tots playgroup offers a variety of activities each month for both moms and kids. Our monthly calendar is full of exciting activities such as park days, field trips, moms night out & holiday parties. There are no requirements for attending any of our activities. Everyone gets something different out of it. Some moms really like the play groups, while others really look forward to the Moms Night Out. You may attend as little or as much as you want. With the exception of our monthly Moms Night Out, our activities are planned during the day, when stay-at-home moms need support. We meet 2 - 3 times a week. We offer a variety of activities and outings to accomadate a variety of age groups and interests. We rotate the days that we meet...so even if you work part-time or have kids in pre-school hopefully you'll find an activity to participate in on your off days! Attendance is completely optional. We understand how hectic it can be for moms these days, you may choose to be as active as your time allows. We are aslo mindfull of budgets and the need to stay within them when planning activities...so we make sure our calendar consists of only ONE activity that we have to pay to do and only ONE lunch playdate per month.
Monthly Calendar Planning
Moms & Tots meets once each month to plan the calendar for the next month. We are always looking for new ideas so make a list and attend the next Calendar Planning!!
Eatin' Meetin'
Once a month we meet for lunch at a kid-friendly restaurant.
Playdates
Playdates...casual get-togethers for moms and kids at parks, members' homes or various locations nearby.
Moms Night Out
Mom's need to get out too. Once a month, moms meet for a night out on the town. The venue varies from month to month, but always includes plenty of fun and relaxation. Most members choose to leave the kids with Dad or a sitter for MOMS Night Out, but nursing infants are always welcome.
Helping Hands
"Helping Hands" provides meals, babysitting, errands, etc to any Mom who needs it due to pregnancy, a new baby, illness, etc.
Birthday Parties
We like to celebrate each child's birthday so we have a monthly birthday party! No gifts - just cupcakes and fun!
Field Trips
Once a month Moms & Tots carpool/caravan to a neighboring city for some fun!
Craft Day
Glue, finger paint, markers...all the fun stuff gets used on Monthly Craft Days!
Tours
Firestation, airport, pediatric dentist office, Petco...we LOVE to visit them all!
